'Blue Town' Concept Excites Prime Minister Rabuka

Savusavu, known as the ‘Hidden Paradise’ of Fiji will soon set a global record as the first blue town in the world.

This has Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka excited as Vanua Levu - where he comes from - will attract world attention.

He shared his excitement while opening the Urata Lookout Café at Savusavu on Saturday.

The blue town model is a town development plan that merges marine conservation and economic opportunities for the town’s prosperity and adherence to its conservation efforts. Mr Rabuka said he was aware of plans to make the ‘Hidden Paradise’ into a blue town model.
