Thirty-five resource owners and budding business entrepreneurs from as far as Rotuma participated in the first Resource Owner Entrepreneurship Training last week.

The training was hosted by the iTaukei Trust Fund Board.

Led by International Master Trainer Steve Codeiro, the training aimed at upskilling participants to better understand and navigate through the challenging environment of commercial business.

“One of the things that we lack is the discipline to run a business,” Mr Codeiro said.

Assistant Minister for iTaukei Affairs Selai Adimaitoga said: “Through these collaborative training efforts, we hope that some of the fundamental challenges in ensuring the sustainable longevity of resource-owned businesses will be somehow cushioned or alleviated.”
