Body Of ‘Asian Woman’ In Her 50s And Pet Dog Found In Creek
Police are requesting members of the public to come forward with any information to assist in the investigations.

A body of a woman and her pet dog was found at Namadi Heights in Suva on Friday.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said : “At this early stage of investigations the victim is believed to be an Asian national in her 50s and once the identification process is complete we can confirm more details.”
Police are requesting members of the public to come forward with any information to assist in the investigations.

Ms Naisoro said more details could be confirmed after the postmortem examination confirms the cause of death.
When Fiji Sun visited the site, Police officers were at the creek retrieving the body.
It is understood the body of the woman was found by a resident at around 8am.
Namadi resident, Luisa Kadavi, said the victim’s dog was also found dead.
She said the last time she met the woman was on Thursday afternoon.
“I was doing my laundry when I saw Police vehicles, so I asked my Neighbour what was happening and he told me that a body was found,” Ms Kadavi sad.
“I was standing there when they retrieved the body and that was when I saw the victim and the clothes she was wearing.
“I remembered that it was the same lady I said hi to yesterday (Thursday).
“I have been living here for five years and this is the first time I have come across something like this,” she said.
