Body Of Baby Found In Mangrove Swamp

Two men found a partly decomposed body of a baby, wrapped in a towel on Monday near Bailey bridge along Nokonoko Road, Laucala Beach Estate.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said at around 2pm, the two men of Delaivalelevu while fishing near the mangrove swamp noticed a shopping bag stuck among the mangrove roots.

She said the two men went and checked the bag where they found a partly decomposed body of a baby which was wrapped in a towel.

She said the Police are still investigating the matter.
