Brian Mckay Takes Home Best Male Cadet

He is one person that does not like his inability to dictate what he is capable of.
Brian Mckay on Friday scooped the Gospel High School Best Male Cadet Award during the school passing-out parade.
Mckay is from Vagadaci, Levuka on Ovalau Island.

For him, life is about fighting another day to prove himself.
Fortunately, he has a supportive family and friends who make sure that he is appreciated and loved.
Mckay is grateful for the school and for everyone who believed in him.
“At times, I have this feeling of giving up, but I keep reminding myself if I stop, who else will prove my worth,” he said.
“My inability does not define what I am capable of. My parents and friends are very supportive.
“I’m so proud to say that one day I will become a sportsman, a dream that I have always cultivated in my early days.”
For his mother, Vaciseva Taufa, ever since his son was born, she reminded herself that Mckay was a special child.
And on Friday, he made her so proud.
“My son is so special. He has made me and his father, who is in Australia working, so proud,” she said.
“Nothing can take away the fact that Mckay is special.”
