Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwau has congratulated Second-Lieutenant Roko Bua Wainise Silatolu who was commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst over the weekend.

She is the second Fijian woman to be commissioned from Sandhurst after a year-long training.

The first was Bernadette Ramafono.

Family and friends of Second-Lieutenant Silatolu were proud of her achievement.

She lost her father, Viliamec Silatolu just weeks short of her commissioning in 2019.

His advice and counsel has been a source of motivation for the 24-year-old who hails from Lomanikoro village, Rewa.

Well done and congratulations Bua. https://t.co/HmVyquW8UY
