Bus driver escapes unharmed after avoiding horses in accident
Dalip Chand & Son Pte Limited confirms the vehicle was empty during the collision; efforts to reach Ashok Transport unsuccessful.

A bus driver trying to avoid three horses wandering on the road crashed into a truck at Nawailevu in Bua on Sunday, police have confirmed.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wame Bautolu said the driver of the Dalip Chand & Son Pte Limited bus swerved in an attempt to avoid the animals, resulting in the collision.
He said no one was injured, and investigations are underway.

The bus company also confirmed the incident.
Company manager Rajneil Chandra said the vehicle was travelling empty from Nabouwalu to Labasa when the accident happened around 1.30pm.
“The bus was returning from Nabouwalu to Labasa at about 1.30pm and the driver is safe,” Mr Chandra said.
Attempts to obtain a comment from Ashok Transport Limited, owners of the truck involved, were unsuccessful.
