The Ba Chamber of Commerce and Industry is adamant that business in its township will bounce back.

This is after the town was not spared by the recent flooding caused by Tropical Cyclone Cody.

Chamber secretary Anil Amin said: “It is very unfortunate that we have to face this situation again.”

He said that once the water level receded, an assessment would be carried out. Mr Amin said that most businesses had mitigation plans in place to tackle natural disasters like flooding.

A new business in the town, The Coffee Hub Fiji, located close to the main street was also partially flooded.

“We will all get through this. Our Nadi and Ba outlets will be closed until further notice,” a statement from the operator said.
