Businessman Devastated Over Son’s Fatal Road Accident

Michael Makki was in enormous sorrow after he lost his only son, Ebraheenm Alkaleal Makki in a car accident which took place at Naboutini last Friday night.
Mr Makki is the owner of Amira Furnishings Pte Ltd situated at Backroad in Nadi.
When the Fiji Sun visited his home yesterday, he could not speak.

Family and friends tried to comfort him as he wailed aloud mentioning how much he missed his son.
Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said the 22-year-old deceased died at the scene of a motor vehicle accident near Naboutini along the Queens Road.
The victim was driving with three other passengers, when their vehicle allegedly hit a horse that was on the road side, resulting in the accident.
The vehicle veered off the road and tumbled down a nearby slope.

“Ebraheenm was on his way to Nadi from Naboutini with his cousins when he encountered that tragic accident,” a close relative said.

The road death toll currently stands at 19 compared to 37 for the same period last year.
