Cabbies To Discuss Future Plans At AGM
The AGM will be held at the Lautoka Club from 9am to mid-day.

Lautoka Taxi Association members are encouraged to attend their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 24.
This would allow them to voice their opinions and get their grievances addressed.
Association secretary Deepak Kumar said he expected a huge turnout.

“We expect a lot of taxi operators as well to be part of the AGM because it is a time their voices are heard,” Mr Kumar said.
“We will have the secretary’s and financial reports before we have a general discussion affecting the taxi drivers and owners.
“There will be a lot of issues discussed.
“We have also invited personnel from the Lautoka Police Traffic Section and Land Transport Authority (LTA)."
"We will share our views and they will also be there to talk to us and see if there are things we must do.”
Mr Kumar said about 1800 taxis operate from Lautoka.
“We will be appointing office bearers and these include positions of vice president, financial controller, and committee members,” he said.
“The position of the president and secretary is valid until next year.
“The AGM will be held at the Lautoka Club starting at 9am and will end at around mid-day.”
