Canadian National Convicted for Possession of Drugs Agrees to be Extradited to NZ
The Canadian national with Fijian links is convicted for possession of 39.5 kilograms of cocaine worth $39.5 million.

Canadian national Joshua Rahman on Friday gave his consent to be extradited to New Zealand.
This is in a miscellaneous action filed by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to extradite Joshua Aziz Rahman to New Zealand.
The Canadian national with Fijian links is convicted for possession of 39.5 kilograms of cocaine worth $39.5 million.

He has been jailed to 20 years with a non-parole period of 14 years to be served.
The New Zealand authorities had sought for Rahman to be extradited to face certain criminal charges relating to the importation of prohibited drugs.
Rahman’s lawyer, Devanesh Sharma from R Patel Lawyers, told the court that his client had no objections to be extradited to New Zealand and face drug- related charges there.
He also told the court that Rahman had not appealed the Acting Chief Magistrate’s decision to extradite him.
High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo has given the DPP’s Office and Mr Sharma time to file and serve their respective submissions.
The matter will be called for mention on August 29.
