Candidate List, Manifesto To Be Announced Soon: Rabuka

Social Democratic Liberal Party (SO­DELPA) will announce its second list of candidates soon.

This was confirmed by the party leader Sitiveni Rabuka yesterday.

He said SODELPA had a set of candi­dates’ who are yet to be interviewed.

“When all the documents are ready, the interview panel secretariat will inform me and then the applicants will be notified and called for an interview,” Mr Rabuka said.

“All who have applied have sent in their required documents.

“The checking of the documents that need to come before the interview is con­ducted by the secretariat. Once everything is finalised and in order, then we will as­semble the interview panel,” Mr Rabuka said.

Manifesto

Mr Rabuka said they have issued an abridged version of the manifesto which people can start talking about.

“We do not see ourselves going out on the campaign trail as yet but the abridged ver­sion of the manifesto is enough to talk to people about the party.

“Some of the things in the manifesto are the continuation of our policies on development, the continuation of the na­tional development plan, the promotion of education, the promotion of health care, improvement of infrastructure, improve­ment of the quality of life in rural areas, the standard of living, the poverty allevia­tion and those are just the few things that I had done with SODELPA party that we in­herited from the alliance and we passed it on to the Fiji Labour Party (FLP) and then to the Soqosoqo ni Duavata ni Leweniva­nua party (SDL),” Mr Rabuka said.
