More than 150 cars are expected to participate in the upcoming car show organised by the Riding Dirty Fiji Car Club.

Formed in 2021 with six members, Riding Dirty Fiji which is registered as a non-profit organization, will make its return with their second major Autofest car show after 20 months.

The Autofest was initially scheduled to take place on January 20 this year but got postponed due to uncertain weather conditions.

Now, the club will host the show next Saturday, February 24 at the HFC Bank Stadium Car Park in Suva.

Club founder Navneet Singh confirmed the funds raised through the car show will go towards charity and assisting those in need.

“This is our second major car show since this club was found,” Mr Singh said.

“The entries opened on the December 1, 2023 and by 29, we were fully booked with more than 150 cars.”

“The number of participants have increased because a lot of car owners reached out to us saying they always want to be part of the noble cause.”

“This show will have 140 categories because this time we not only have male and youths car enthusiasts taking part but some female car lovers are also entering the show which is really positive to witness.”

The Club live by the faith that car shows for charity is all about ‘Giving back to the communities.’

“We hosted our first Car Show in May 2022 at Namaka Public with 150 vehicles and over 1000 patrons at the event.”

“All funds raised from that show went towards two medical treatments and now that we are back with the second show after some time, again all the funds will go for charity.”

“We are partnering with Being Helping Hand Fiji so whatever funds we raise in this car show; certain amount will go towards them.”

“The remaining will go to those less fortunate who are unwell within their community as we are committed to making a positive impact.”

“We want to tell the public that we don’t keep any money because we see this as a way to showcase our love towards our communities.”

With over 30 members in Fiji, New Zealand and Australia, he added the winners will be rewarded with plaques.

“In the previous car shows, we gave away trophies to the winners but we want to do something different this time.”

“We will also launch our first ever magazine in the show which will include the details of each participating car and the inspirational story of their owners.
