Caretaker Saddened As Two Flats Go Up In Flames

Fezleen Begum encountered a sad experience with her family after the houses they had been taking care of, were destroyed by fire last Thursday night.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro confirmed the property fire at Nav­akai, Nadi.

She said two men occupied two flats.

Ms Begum with her family have been caretakers of the property. The property is owned by her sister-in-law, who resides in Aus­tralia.

Two other flats in that property were rented by couples.

She said the fire started from the kitchen in one of the tenants’ houses.
