Change Begins From Within: Jasper Head Girl

Jasper Williams High School head girl believes change be­gins from within oneself.

Salote Tawaivuna also emphasised on the need for cooperation.

“Change starts from us, we have to change ourselves first,” she said.

“If we are able to work together as the two head girls, then I’m sure we’d be able to change this course and change involves many things, it’s a process and it takes time, but it is our goal.”

Tawaivuna is from Nukunuku in Lakeba, Lau.

She said she hoped to achieve the school’s vision and mission with the assistance of co-head girl Shaina Devi.

“I’m sure that we will be able to up­lift Jasper to another standard this year.”

“I also thank our school principal for entrusting me with this role, it’s a huge responsibility, but it is also a blessing in disguise,” she said.

More than 90 school and hostel pre­fects were inducted on Friday at the school.
