The Ministry of Education has reinstated school chaplains at 13 government schools around the country.

Line minister Aseri Radrodro revealed this during the prefect’s induction at Natabua High School on Friday.

He said the Coalition Government remains committed to improving the quality of education.

“The Coalition Government continues to provide free education grants, $200 back-to-school support, free textbooks, boarding grants, and transport assistance, including bus fares, to ensure that education is accessible to all our students,” Mr Radrodro said.

“The ministry has also reinstated school chaplains at 13 government schools, including Natabua, to provide emotional and spiritual support to students.”

He emphasised the important role of parents in the life of their children.

“The role of parents in the schoolwork of our students is crucial. Your involvement can significantly influence a child’s academic performance, self-esteem, and attitude towards education.”
