China to Import More Fijian Products, Creates New Opportunities

China hopes to import more Fijian products into its market.
Chinese Ambassador Zhou Jian highlighted the importance of seizing market opportunities last Friday in Suva.
“As China works to building a unified national market with a population of 1.4 billion people, it will further unleash the potential of domestic demand,” Mr Zhou said.

“This will create opportunities for other economies, including Fiji. We look forward to importing more Fijian products into China’s supersized market, such as mineral water, skincare products, and noni fruits,” he said.
“We are confident that the China-Fiji economic and trade exchanges will flourish. Fiji is also welcome to tap into China’s huge outbound tourism market.”
Mr Zhou said it would be beneficial to launch a direct flight between the two countries.
“We look forward to the launch of a direct flight between China and Fiji soon to bring more Chinese tourists to Fiji.
“China stands ready to work with Fiji, seize the opportunities brought in by a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation,” Mr Zhou added.
