Chinese Community Boosts Government COVID-19 Fight
Federation secretary-general Xiaochun Wu said the equipment included more than 10,000 face masks, temperature guns and medical separation units to be used by medical professionals on the frontline of this fight.

The Fiji Chinese Federation of Commerce and Industry yesterday donated personal protective equipment (PPE) valued at more than $13,900 to the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
The donation is to assist Government in its battle against the COVID-19 virus.
Federation secretary-general Xiaochun Wu said the equipment included more than 10,000 face masks, temperature guns and medical separation units to be used by medical professionals on the frontline of this fight.

Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete said: “The donation that we are receiving today is another sign that the people of this nation are continually rallying behind us, supporting us in this fight.
“We have been able to get to where we are today because everyone has played their part with a very strong leadership by the Prime Minister and my colleagues in Cabinet to protect this nation.
“We are indeed grateful for this support.”
Mr Xiaochun said: “When the board of the federation called for the donation, our members very actively and readily donated money.”
President of the Chinese Community in Fiji Jenny Seeto said: “We are actually heartened by all the effort that has been put in and all the long hours, we know the officials and everyone has been putting up with long hours.
“We are also very grateful for the effort, work and resources that the Government has put in this fight.”
