Christafari founder and lead vocalist, Pastor Mark Mohr is inviting Westerners to a free concert to listen to Gospel reggae music in Nadi tonight.

Pastor Mohr with his 12-member number one USA reggae band is in the country on the group’s Melanesian tour.

Pastor Mohr, who was a former drug addict, says this is their third time performing in Fiji and the group wants to spread the message of hope and peace to the people of Fiji.

He started the band when he was only 17 years old and that was when he found God.

“When I was a teenager I was a drug addict and when I met God, I started a relationship with Him and instead of getting people to be a drug dealer, I became a hope dealer and now I am telling people that God loves them and I am trying to bring a positive change to their lives,” he said.

“Our purpose for this tour is to bring hope to the nations. We have seen earthquakes in Papua New Guinea (PNG), we have seen all kinds of elections issues in Solomon Islands so we want to bring hope, peace and ultimately good news to everyone, that God loves them.”

He said the group was targeting youth or anybody who does not know God.

From Fiji, the group will depart for Vanuatu on May 12 for a Zion Fest while rounding off its tour in Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and then Australia.

The group is inviting the public to come down to the Christian Mission Fellowship (CMF) Church at the Nadi Back Road at six tonight for a free Gospel Reggae Concert.
