Church Group Assists 14 Ba Schools With $6k Donation, Food Pack Distribution

The Church of Christ has assisted 14 schools in Ba and handed food packs to those who are in dire need.

Church of Christ Minister of the Gospel, Eduardo Javier, said this was possible through the Felix Y Manola Foundation (FYM), and Care for Humanity that contributed to the creation of peaceful and productive communities in other parts of the world where the Church of Christ branches were established.

The distribution of $6000, which was divided among 14 schools throughout Ba and the handing out of 1400 food packs was held at the AD Patel College in Ba.

The FYM Foundation is a charitable arm of the INC or the Church of Christ.

“It is a non-profit and nonpolitical organisation. Its mission is to provide equity for individuals in different communities, promote education, ensure socio economic wellbeing, promote environmental awareness and health improvement for everyone,” he said.

“The INC/COC through the FYM foundation wants to help lighten the suffering experienced by those enduring and dealing with poverty.

“We have brought The Care for Humanity project with you today through the FYM foundation.”

He said the Care for Humanity project has since established branches in 168 countries and territories. Shastri Memorial School teacher Vishal Pillay said: “We thank the denomination for com- ing forward and all the schools in Ba. It will be put to good use in various projects.”

The full list of recipients were AD Patel College with $1000,Tagore Primary School $500,Ba Sangam Primary School $500,Veisaru Sanatan School $500, Koronubu Sanatan School $400, Rarawai Muslim School $400, Vunisamaloa Sangam School $400, Shastri Memorial School $400, Navala Catholic school $400, Koronubu Sangam School $300, Navoli Sangam School $300, Navoli Sanatan School $300,Vayuyaka Sangam School $300 and Namau Public School $300.
