Church Groups Receive COVID-19 Assistance

Three church groups in Lautoka were handed agricultural kits on Wednesday.
This is to assist their church members who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The church groups include the Peceliema Methodist Waiyavi circuit, New Horizon and the Salvation Army.

The assistance would benefit 500 families.
The handover was done by the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Fiji country director, Iliapi Tuwai.
The handover of the kits is part of the assistance from the Church Agencies Network Disaster Operation (CAN DO) COVID-19 Activation 2 Project by the Australian Humanitarian Partnership (AHP) which targets food security and an improvement in the livelihood of families and individuals who are directly affected by the pandemic.
Salvation Army’s Captain Salesi Temo acknowledged the agencies for their kind assistance.
Captain Temo said the assistance would greatly benefit them.
