Clarification: FEA Line Not Linked To Rehan’s Death

The live electrical wire that allegedly electrocuted Re­han Hussein last Thursday in Nakasi was a domestic one and not a Fiji Electricity Authority line.

It was also unfortunate that Re­han’s father Saheed Hussein had said that Rehan had touched a high voltage wire, which seemed to suggest that it was an FEA line.

The term high voltage is normal­ly associated with FEA lines.

In this case, a domestic line had allegedly shocked Rehan, leading to his death.

We hope this clarification will clear any misunderstanding and we apologise to FEA for any in­convenience caused.
