Classic Buses says it is struggling to maintain full services in parts of Lautoka following alleged bus-stoning incidents in Banaras and Tomuka.
The company says the attacks have damaged buses and raised safety concerns for passengers and drivers, even during peak hours.
Operations team member Fawzia Rahiman said the company remained committed to providing reliable and safe transport despite the challenges.

“However, we are currently facing a serious issue in the Banaras and Tomuka areas. Despite numerous complaints from our team and commuters, incidents of vandalism continue,” Ms Rahiman said.
“There have been instances where individuals have thrown stones at our buses, causing damage and endangering passenger safety.”
Classic Buses is calling on the public to help discourage such behaviour and protect public transport services.
“Our buses are vital for daily commuting, and acts of vandalism undermine the safety and reliability of these services,” Ms Rahiman said.
She said the company’s teams were working to maintain operations but urged the community to stop damaging buses.
“We urge the community to recognise the importance of preserving these essential services for everyone’s benefit.”
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said she was yet to confirm whether reports had been received about the alleged incidents.
Classic Buses operates about 80 per cent of Lautoka city routes.
