Clothes for Good Donates $5000 to Nasole HART

Clothes for Good donated $5000 to the Nasole Housing Assistance Relief Trust (HART) Community on Wednesday as part of their goodwill.
The American company is the first ever non-profit preloved clothing store operating in Fiji with shops located in Nabua and Lami, outside Suva.

Profits made by the two stores are donated back into the Fijian Community to support the needs and causes of local charities.
Company founder Hayden Ostrom said, “Our business is centred around charity, helping the communities like Nasole HART grow and raise their standard of living.
Mr Ostrom said reaching out to communties that have been struggling to make ends meet, was an initiative they thought would boost society at ground level.
“Every time someone shops at one of our stores in Nabua or Lami, they are not only getting lovely clothes or shoes they are helping us make a difference to those in need in Fiji,” he said.
“We are the first store in Fiji where all profit from our stores goes to helping those in need here.”
He said the donation of $5000 will go towards fixing the fences.
This is because the community has had instances of break ins.
“Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home, especially when such community is home to those who have suffered a form of violence,” he said.
“Money will also be spent to upgrade their hall which is currently leaking and in need of repair, the hall is an important part of the community and is used by the children for their studies.”
