Coach Accused of Multiple Counts of Sexual Assault on Minors
The incidents reportedly occurred during training sessions where the accused served as the girls’ sporting coach.

A 45-year-old self-employed man from Suva will appear in court today on eight counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault.
The charges stem from allegations that the man assaulted three girls, aged 13, 14, and 16, on ten separate occasions between February of last year and March this year.
The incidents reportedly occurred during training sessions where the accused served as the girls’ sporting coach.

The Fiji Police Force has pledged to aggressively pursue cases involving vulnerable individuals. “We urge parents to remain vigilant when sending children to training or other activities,” a police spokesperson said.
The force also encourages young people to report any uncomfortable or inappropriate behavior immediately.
