Coboi School Adopted By Businessman, PM Pleased
Coboi Sanatan Dharm Kalika Memorial School head teacher Ramesh Kumar informed Mr Bainimarama that it was the first time in the history of the school for it to be hit so badly by a natural disaster.

Coboi Sanatan Dharm Kalika Memorial School in Bua was the first school in Northern Division to be adopted by a businessman for a rebuilding project.
The businessman, Pratap Singh, is the owner of Entec Limited based in Suva. This was confirmed by Minister for Education Rosy Akbar.
“The businessman has taken the responsibility to rebuild this school which was completely destroyed by Tropical Cyclone Yasa on December 17,” Ms Akbar said.

She also relayed this information to Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama who was at the school yesterday. Mr Bainimarama was pleased to hear such kind of initiative.
Coboi Sanatan Dharm Kalika Memorial School head teacher Ramesh Kumar informed Mr Bainimarama that it was the first time in the history of the school for it to be hit so badly by a natural disaster.
“We have to start from scratch. “The school was built in 1973 and has a student of 111 from preschool to Year Eight,” Mr Kumar said.
He thanked Mr Singh of Entec Limited for his timely assistance.
The Republic of Fiji Military Forces are helping in the rebuilding project. Mr Bainimarama thanked them for their effort.
