Commission Repays 3800 Accident Victims
About 3800 applicants had been compensated for motor vehicle, workplace and school accidents under the no-fault scheme.

The Accident Compensation Commission Fiji (ACCF) has paid out more than $ 82 million in compensation since its establishment.
This report was heard yesterday by the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.
ACCF manager Anjeet Charan said about 3800 applicants had been compensated for motor vehicle, workplace and school accidents under the no-fault scheme.

During submissions on the Work Care Bill 2025 and Accident Compensation (Amendment) Bill 2025, Mr Charan said ACCF collects approximately $12million annually from motor vehicle accident levies and about $9m yearly from the Fiji National University (FNU) levy.
This is the 40 per cent of the one per cent FNU levy which is directed towards funding the ACCF where every dollar contributed to the one per cent FNU levy, 40 cents is allocated to the ACCF.
“To date we have managed to compensate more than $82m including motor vehicle employment and school accidents,” Mr Charan said.
