Communication amongst all iTaukei families is vital, says The People’s Alliance party candidate, Mereseini Baleilevuka.
Ms Baleilevuka made the comment while speaking to residents of Tomuka in Lautoka during the National Federation Party and The People’s Alliance party joint rally at the Methodist Church Grounds on Friday evening.
More than 100 residents turned up to the joint rally.

While speaking to the residents, Ms Baleilevuka said most iTaukei families did not take voting in the General Election seriously hence, communication amongst each other was important.

“We've seen suffering in this nation, we have suffered long enough and I believe that 16 years is long enough to suffer and we are saying today we are going to make a change and the change has to happen,” said Divina.
“The Government of the day is saying ‘no one left behind’ but there's about 90 per cent of people left behind, we're going to allow them to go with your power, you have the power to allow them to go and today we're going to do it together.”
The 2022 General Election will take place on Wednesday.
