Couple On Murder Charge Applies For Bail
It is alleged that the couple forced the 18-year-old student to ingest a chemical in Maro, Sigatoka, on June 30 this year.

A couple on murder charge, in connection with a student’s death, has applied for bail when they appeared yesterday in the High Court in Lautoka.
Mohammed Naushad and his wife, Nazreen Nisha Khan, are each charged with one count of murder while Naushad faces an additional charge of one count of criminal intimidation.
Their lawyer, Iqbal Khan and Associates, filed the bail applications before Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza.

Saini Naibe, from the prosecution, sought 21 days to file information and disclosures.
Justice Hamza adjourned the substantive matter to August 15 and set August 8 for a decision to be made on bail applications.
