COVID-19: Isolation, Screening Zones Set Up In Waila, Tacirua

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services, in light of recent COVID-19 cases, has set-up screening and isolation zones in Waila and Tacirua.
Health Permanent Secretary, Dr James Fong explained that with more cases coming out of Muanikoso, screening and isolation has been expanded to the area as well.
“After the announcement of cases in Samabula, we have advised the family members on the next step and asked that they go into household isolation, particularly for those in Samabula. We also will be having a household isolation site in Tacirua.”

Dr Fong has urged the public to remain calm as the Ministry continues with contact tracing and containment measures.
He has advised that “if you are anxious, the most useful thing to do is to stay home and allow our teams to continue our screening and containment program”.
