COVID-19: Screening, Swabbing Picks Up Pace
A total of 57 screening clinics are fully operational and since Tuesday 3731 people were screened and 382 people were swabbed.

Seventy people are currently in isolation at four community isolation facilities around Fiji.
They are being looked after by teams from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
This was revealed by Chief Medical Adviser Dr Jemesa Tudravu during the national announcement last night.

He said screening campaigns have picked up pace and to date 9707 people have been swabbed for COVID-19 tests while 343,609 people have been screened.

Lautoka Field Hospital
In the last 24-hours, Dr Tudravu said 31 patients have been seen at the Field hospital. Eight patients are currently admitted while three patients underwent surgery.
The first caesarean section birth was also done by the FEMAT Obstetrics team at the MV Veivueti hospital ship.
In addition, he said the ante natal clinic services have been reviewed and services have been moved from the Viseisei Health Centre to the vacant Medical Services Pacific office.
The clinic was operational from 8am today with special focus on high risk mothers.
“Be watchful of your bubble and guard your bubble,” Dr Tudravu stressed.
“Stay at home, wear a mask, wash your hands regularly, practice the correct way to cough and sneeze and download and activate the careFIJI app by switching on the Bluetooth feature.”
