COVID-19: Tests Cost Ministry Almost $2000 Each
Since Thursday, the Ministry has conducted close to 400 tests.

It costs the Ministry of Health and Medical Services close to $2000 to conduct one test for COVID-19.
Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete said Government had invested heavily in the battle against COVID-19 and in its response budget. This is to ensure no Fijian was left behind.
He said they are prepared.

“At the same time, Fijians are urged to call us on our toll-free line to inform us of any related symptoms to COVID-19 that they may have and also visit our fever clinics so that we could ascertain if you need to be tested for COVID-19.”
Since Thursday, the Ministry has conducted close to 400 tests.
