The Jioji family of Loa Street on Princes Road were among the many Fijians who tuned into the Sunday church service online.

At 10am, members of the family dressed in their Sunday wear, hooked up their television to a wi-fi and tuned into the Christian Mission Fellowship sermon based from its World Harvest Centre in Newtown, Nasinu.

Christian Mission Fellowship International Director of World Mission, Pastor Laisiasa Jioji said: “Although we would want to worship as a church, the risk is high so we must all come together and support the Ministry of Health in their fight against this virus.

“What is important is our lives and the lives of our families so it is important that we stay home and be safe,” he said.

Jokapeci Bogitolu of Nadera said COVID-19 restrictions by the ministry have always been a blessing in disguise for her family.

“My family had our morning service at home and then after that we sat and talked which we have not done in a long time,” Mrs Bogitolu said.
