The Computerised Tomography (CT) scan service at Lautoka Hospital is not working.

This service is being outsourced to the Zens Medical Centre paid for by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.

Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete revealed this in Parliament last week.

Dr Waqainabete added that from August 2021 to February 2022, the ministry had referred 686 patients for CT scan services to Zens Medical Centre.

He said they were in the process of replacing it with a $1.5 million CT Scan through a grant from Japan.
