Devotional March To Attract One Thousand Plus Devotees

Krishna Conscience regional secretary Ras Bihari Das says more than 1000 devotees are expected to be part of the devotional march from the Sri Krishna Temple at Tavewa Avenue, Lautoka tomorrow.
The march involves devotees pulling the Hare Krishna Deity through Lautoka City before returning to the temple.
“We had the one in Nadi last weekend, this one will attract devotees from all over Fiji and overseas,” he said.

It is an auspicious occasion that normally takes place in India and has been brought to Fiji.
The Rath Yatra was in Ba on June 24 and the one in Nadi on June 30.
“We are bringing the lord Jagannath or the lord Krishna closer to devotees and since we are living in a time where people are engrossed in materialistic living, people do not have that spiritual hunger or thirst so this will cleanse us of all impurities and no matter what religion you belong to, we are all equal,” Mr Das said.
The march starting 6pm.
