Director of Immigration Amelia Komaisavai has been sent on leave.
Ms Komaisavai was sent on leave yesterday by the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration Mason Smith.
Well-placed sources indicate that Ms Komaisavai has “been asked to go on leave” as authorities scale down on who issued passports to the children of individuals associated with the Grace Road human rights allegations.
