Residents of Vusuya, Nausori, are in a state of shock following the gruesome discovery of a dismembered body on a farm out- side the victim's residence.

It is alleged Mr Serulaqeti left home on the morning of April 24 for work but did not return that afternoon.

A week later, on May 1, a group of men found his dismembered body while heading to the farm.
The Nausori Criminal Investigation Department is investigating the matter.
"A thorough investigation will be done," Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Crime Mesake Waqa said.
The group first discovered the victim's head among the dismembered body parts.
Two residents described the discovery as something out of a movie, reflecting the horror of the scene.
Litea Serulaqeti, the distraught wife of the victim, expressed her anguish over the horrific manner in which her husband’s body was found.
“I still have a lot of questions rushing through my mind on how all this happened,” she said tearfully.
“When I got the news of how dismembered his body was when they found him, I questioned who could have done such a horrific act.”
The tragic loss has left Ms Serulaqeti uncertain about her future, as her husband was the family’s sole breadwinner.
“Now that the only sole breadwinner, my husband, is gone, we have nowhere to look now,” she lamented.
She reminisced about their last moments together.
“We bid each other farewell when he left home on April 24; little did I know that was the last time I would see him alive,” she said.
“He worked as a construction worker and was always proud to provide for us with the little he had.”
Ms Serulaqeti also claimed her husband’s body appeared to have been poured with some sort of liquid acid, as the skin no longer looked normal.
“I hope police will find and arrest the person who did this to him,” she said tearfully.
Mr Serulaqeti is survived by his wife and four children. His burial is scheduled for Saturday.
