Drive Through Takeaways For Ginger Kitchen At Fiji Museum

Ginger Kitchen at the Fiji Museum is innovating its services to stay in the game even with the effects of COVID-19 once again affecting the nation.
Owner Ellana Kalounisiga said they had to make decisions in order to ensure that they did not have to lay off staff.
She said this is why they had come up with the drive-through concept with a difference.

“Our team wants to work. So, we had come up with some super stringent processes to protect our team, including rules for travel and in-house processes to protect us all,” Ms Kalounisiga wrote on the official page of Ginger Kitchen on Facebook.
“We won’t be taking customers at the counter unless you are wearing a mask, but we hope you’ll love our creativity in working out a way forward.
“We’ve always loved our car parking space and now we shall use it as a drive through.”
Customers have been urged to call, text or FB msg the Ginger Kitchen page and give staff 10 minutes to get orders ready.
The plan was rolled out yesterday.
