Drugs Seized at Schools in Lautoka and Nausori

The Fiji Police Force is urging parents to constantly remind their children on the implications drugs has on their health, education, and future.

Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations, (ACP) Livai Driu made the call after two students, one from Lautoka, the other from Nausori, were arrested after they were allegedly found in possession of illicit drugs in the school premises over the past week.

In Lautoka, white substances believed to be cocaine were found on a school premises allegedly belonging to a 17-year-old student.

The substances have been sent for analysis.

In the second seizure, a 17-year-old student was found with dried leaves believed to be marijuana on school premises.

The matter is being investigated by Nausori Police.
