Meet Corporal Vignesh Prasad and Corporal Savenaca Vue. The two young officers have been chosen to pursue Graduate Certificate Studies with the Australian Institute of Police Management along with eight other senior officers.

Cpl Prasad is originally from Vunivau in Labasa and is based at the Labasa Prosecutions Unit.

The 31-year-old was recruited in 2014 and served at the Samabula Police Station before he was transferred to the Prosecution Unit in Labasa.

The former All Saints Secondary School student is married with a son. He is the youngest of four siblings and is the first member of his family to become a Police officer.

Cpl Prasad has a Degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing LLB studies.

Meanwhile 25-year-old Corporal Savenaca Vue of Lomati, Cicia in Lau is the Waidalice Police Post Officer in Korovou, Tailevu.

Recruited in 2014, Cpl Vue served at the Nausori Police Station before he was transferred to the Korovou P/S.

He is married with two daughters and is the middle child of five siblings.

He grew up in his village and attended Tabutoga Primary School and completed his secondary school education at Armadiya Muslim College and Vunimoni High in Nausori.

Cpl Vue was the Baton of Honor recipient of  the 02/14 batch and scooped the Dux award of the Corporals Qualifying Course in 2020.

The two young Corporal’s have been identified as future leaders as part of the organisation’s succession plans.

The Fiji Police has so far been given thirty study placements with the prestigious learning institution.

Due to COVID-19, studies are conducted online.
