Dux Unaqeni Makes Mom Proud
He hopes to join Suva Grammar School next year.

Aspiring doctor, Unaqeni Matailuke, has dedicated his achievement to his loving mother.
Unaqeni scooped the dux award of St John’s Primary School in Wailoku.
He said that it was his mother’s dream for him to become a doctor and he would do whatever it took to achieve it.

“I want to become a doctor and help poor people because my mother has hoped that I will be a very successful doctor in future,” Unaqeni said.
Unaqeni hopes to join Suva Grammar School next year.
“I am good in rugby and I think this school will be a good place to experience both education and sports activities,” he said.
Unaqeni’s mother, Maca Lesu, could not hold back her tears, saying that Unaqeni has worked long hours during the day and night studying.
“I have been a proud supporter of my son and I will always support him until he becomes a doctor,” she said.
Unaqeni was the highest scorer in the annual examination with 471/500. He was also a top students in the iTaukei subject.
