Easter is the reminder and encouragement that God in Christ continues to love and care for the whole world.
He overcame death with life conquering fear and uncertainty with hope in Jesus.
While visiting several schools in Labasa for Easter celebration, Tuatua Christian Fellowship Reverend Shalendra Pillay said Easter reminds christians of God’s love.

“As we are confronted with the challenges in our lives with painful situations, fear, trauma, separation, loss, sickness and death, remember the tomb of Jesus is empty, the saviour of the world is alive,” Reverend Pillay said.
He quoted from the bible, First Corinthians chapter 15 verses 55 and 57 which says, “O death, where is your victory, where is your sting; But thanks be to God, who gave us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
He said remember the good news for the whole world was the gift of God, eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
“In first Peter chapter one verse three says, praise to be God and Lord Jesus Christ in great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” he said.
“This Easter, we convey to you with joy that Christ has risen and let us celebrate with our family, friends and loved ones.”
He is urging people not to only focus on enjoying the long weekend but to take out time to understand the meaning of Easter and remain united.
