Eastern Division Lau And Lomaiviti Women Show Begins
The stage is set for the two-day Eastern Division Lau and Lomaiviti Women’s Expo at the Civic Centre Auditorium carpark. Six women from Moala, Lau, are excited to showcase their skills and talents and the potential it holds to grow their business.

The stage is set for the two-day Eastern Division Lau and Lomaiviti Women’s Expo at the Civic Centre Auditorium carpark. Six women from Moala, Lau, are excited to showcase their skills and talents and the potential it holds to grow their business.
The event which starts today is a joint partnership of the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation with the Fiji Arts Council. Sovaia Nawa, skilled in weaving, said the expo was an opportunity to sell their craft.
“We have 15 mats, woven fans, baskets and house decorations that are not easily accessed in the city,” Ms Nawa said.

“I encourage Fijians to come in numbers and check the Expo. We will be selling at affordable prices and everyone should take advantage of this.”
The expo will showcase handicrafts, traditional cuisine, a programme has also been set up for rural fashion, information booths and more.
