Elderly Man Casts Vote From Home

“I am happy that I voted again in this year’s election. Every registered voter voice must be heard in this year’s election,” he said.

A 78-year-old physically challenged Nukui villager was happy to cast his vote at home.

Wheel-chair bound, Veisoni Rainima, cast his vote from his make shift shelter as Fijian Election Officials recorded his vote from home during pre-polling in the village.

Mr Rainima said in the last two elections he had been able to cast his vote from at home. He said the staff of the Fijian Elections Office (FEO) who recorded his votes were helpful.
