Close to 23 months after the 2022 General Elections, nothing has been said about the investigations into the infamous vote counting ‘glitch’ during the 2022 General Elections counting process.
The Electoral Commission while querying the delay in February stated they understood that Government had procedures to follow.
Minister for Justice Siromi Turaga, who was attending the Chief Justices and Director of Public Prosecutions’ forum on cybercrime and electronic evidence for the Pacific Islands at the Shangri-La Yanuca Island Fiji in Nadroga yesterday, said the investigation report was yet to be re-looked at in light of the other developments.

“I discussed with the Committee of the Electoral Commission and I’m looking forward to having another meeting with them, of course, with the Supervisor of Elections soon,” Mr Turaga said.
“We have been having discussions and there are some primary decisions and primary findings that we have come to look into and it needs to be advanced further.
“Only when Cabinet is informed then we will be able to fully disclose.”
