For the first time since 2005 Empower Pacific has withdrawn its Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services from the Lautoka Aspen Hospital.

The hospital was the first divisional hospital in the country where Empower Pacific started providing counselling and social work services.

Empower Pacific chief executive officer Patrick Morgan said: “We respect the decision of the executive management of ASPEN Medical Fiji to have its inhouse counsellors to provide services at the Lautoka Hospital.”

He said their counselling and social work services at the other hospitals around country would continue.

Its 24/7 toll free counselling helpline (5626) remains active, available and accessible to people in need of services.
