“With all the pressure from home, work, social media and society, how do we support them? In every sphere they working in, they hesitate when they go in the public arena. There are many factors. They don’t feel confident, they don’t feel trained, they don’t have emotional and mental support and we do not know whether we will do the right thing,” Ms Kiran said.
“We will be criticized, we will be under public scrutiny.
We need to evolve a lot more development leadership programmes for girls. We need to relook at how we build support around women. There should be support around the health of women on professional and grassroots level.”
