Don’t let anything deter you from doing good in a world that has situations of human trafficking.

These were sentiments by Ambassador of the European Union to Fiji and the Pacific Sujiro Seam during his courtesy visit to the Homes of Hope in Wailoku yesterday.

The visit was part of the monitoring activities of the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) towards its FJD$1.25 million initiative that began two years ago.

“We have partnered with Homes of Hope to fight cross-border trafficking, as well as domestic trafficking and a key outcome of this project is to help improve Fiji’s response to human trafficking,” Mr Seam said.

“The results can only be seen on the ground and that’s the reason why I wanted to visit this place and meet with the residents who are people rescued from situations of human trafficking.”
