‘Expenditure For Girmit And Ratu Sukuna Holidays Worthwhile’

The Minister for Finance Biman Prasad says the government’s respective allocations of $500,000 each for the Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna Day and Girmit Day celebrations were small but worthwhile expenditures.

The Minister for Finance Biman Prasad says the government’s respective allocations of $500,000 each for the Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna Day and Girmit Day celebrations were small but worthwhile expenditures.

This was after the official opening of the 61st Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha Fiji Convention at the Kshatriya hall in Ba on Friday.

Mr Prasad was responding to questions about concerns raised on social media this week regarding the funding allocation for the Girmit Day celebration.
