Faith Earns School Head Boy Baton Of Honour

He has proven that with pa­tience and faith, anything is impossible.

Leon Fox, 17, on Friday scoped the Baton of Honour Award dur­ing the Gospel High School cadet passing-out parade.

Leon, of Dreketi, Macuata in Va­nua Levu, is the school head boy.

He said the award made his fam­ily proud as he was the first in the family to receive such an award.

Nothing seems to sway him. In the lead-up to the special day, he had to juggle for time between cadet parade rehearsal and study­ing.

Setting an example is his priority, he said. The only challenge that he faced was trying to be prompt in school without being late.

He said prioritising his time was his hardest battle, as he tried to show a good example to his col­leagues in his school.

He said his inspiration was his uncle; a Fiji Navy personnel, who taught him a lot in terms of disci­pline and self-reliance.

His advice to young people was never to take the slightest hard battle in life to define their ulti­mate future ambition.
